You're the Star- Found Art Tuesdays 2

star.jpgSo here's my new found art card for this week. It's made with a loteria card from a Mexican game (it's like bingo). The topic is STAR and I thought about making some kind of positive message for the person who'll find this, and not only a random story to which they wouldn't feel related to and have trouble understanding. The caption reads "You are the star in the movie of your life" I'm sure I've read this before somewhere, or maybe was it in a movie?

mission 2.jpgI left it in the women's locker room at the gym and I waited to see who found it, I'm always interested in seeing their reaction, and as I stood idly there, I saw a lot of people walking by, even standing in front of it and they either didn't saw it or didn't care to pick it up. I went upstairs to workout and after about an hour came back, and the card was still there! I've been thinking about that and I think this is becoming an interesting sociological experiment! are we so saturated with information and images that we don't stop and see what's around us? or is it that we are afraid of getting into someone else's business by picking up something that doesn't belong to us? what if opportunity is passing us by right now and we haven't stopped to listen??

Include a post-it or something saying "is for you!". You should try leaving a pair in Monterrey next week!!!! I'm so happy you're comming down. We will be moving to a new house, do you know that? Perhaps you can help us with the decoration of the house. It's an old, big house right in dowtown, close to tia Malena

Rosa,

Did anyone ever find it? How interesting is that! I think I will put a post-it note on the back too, saying FOR YOU.

I don't know if anyone found it, today I'll check the lost and found bin at the gym, although I did wrote in the back "this is a found-art piece, if you found it you get to keep it" but last night I thought that if nobody took it, maybe the cleaning crew just threw it out...I need to come up with a better way of getting people's attention. any suggestions anyone? I was thinking maybe fireworks will make people notice :)

Once I left a fun little piece of found art on a gum machine at the entrance to our bank and 2 days later it was still there, but when I came out of the bank it was gone.
